Restaurante Royal, Altea, Costa BlancaRESTAURANTE ROYAL in ALTEA is not your average Costa Blanca restaurant.  Where else can you find a restaurant which specialises in French, Belgian and Indonesian cooking?  Romy and Jeffrey have completely overhauled the menu at Restaurante Royal to bring something a bit different and a bit special to the Costa Blanca.  The French/Belgian menu is available every day except Monday (closed) and Fridays, which is Indonesian night.

The French/Belgian menu opens with a wide choice ranging from Hot Goat’s Cheese salad, through Asparagus with Smoked Salmon, and even has that traditional French starter, Frog’s Legs in Garlic (you really should try it at least once!).  Main courses are always prepared from fresh ingredients.  You can typically enjoy Monkfish with Leek Sauce, Lobster prepared 4 different ways, Lamb Crown, and of course, Restaurante Royal’s celebrated Chateaubriand Flambé.  All this rounded off with a mouthwatering dessert, which again varies depending on what is fresh and available.  To keep things simple, we have à la carte and a set menu.

The Indonesian Rice Table is something quite different.  If you have never eaten Indonesian food, you are in for a treat.  The spices used are all authentic and fresh.  However, unlike Indian food, they are more tasty than hot, the emphasis is on subtlety.  For 20€pp you are presented with a range of approximately 10 main course dishes which includes vegetable, meat and fish dishes.  You can eat as much or as little as you wish.  A range of dessert is included in the price.

To add that personal touch, Jeffrey and Romy care for what their customers really want so if you have any special dietary needs (e.g. you have a specific allergy), or you simply want what you want, just call and let them know, and they’ll do all they can to accommodate your needs.  You may even want a special and unique menu for your special party.

restaurante royalRestaurante Royal can be found on Cuesta de las Narices, just down from the Palau-Altea.  So call Romy or Jeffrey now on 965 844 686 or 699 554 278 to make your reservation for a meal you will not forget.
