An earthquake of 2.41 on the Richter scale shook Torrevieja in the early hours of Sunday morning. There was no damage resulting from the quake.
The earthquake had its centre some 7 km to the south of the centre of Torrevieja and was registered at 07:41. There were no calls to the authorities from worried occupants – presumably at 7:30 in the morning on a Sunday in August no one felt the shake!
Coincidently yesterday was Saint Emigdio’s day. He is the patron saint AGAINST earthquakes.
