Terra Mitica Renegotiating Debts - Visitors Up |
In a press conference yesterday, John Fitzgerald confirmed that Terra Mitica is negotiating with its creditors.
In particular the park is trying to negotiate the reduction of a debt of some 111 million euros that led to the suspension of payments by the park. He signalled that the debt may be able to be renegotiated by the end of the year but also said it could be next year before the situation changes.
In terms of visitors to the park he said that June had been very poor but that July and August had been better – especially during the week. He said that in July there had been days that there had been up to 11,000 to 12,000 visitors per day. He said that it was probable that the number of visitors would be higher than last year and would be more than 1 million. |
