Ex-deniable operator Nick Stone believes he hasn’t a care in the world as he drives his camper van around the surfing and parachuting paradise of Australia with a good-looking young backpacker at his side.
All this is about to change though when he sees a news report of the massacre of women and children in a terrorist attack on the other side of the world. Nick decides he must risk everything to repay a longstanding debt of friendship.
As events unfold in the streets of modern Istanbul and the medieval villages of Georgia, Nick finds himself involved once more in the murky world he thought he’d left behind – a world in the grip of anonymous enemies who lurk in the shadows waiting patiently to stalk the corridors of powers . . .
