Baby Abandoned in Orihuela

A baby boy has been found abandoned in Orihuela.
 The boy is believed to be only 3 days old. He was left outside a cash dispensing machine in the town earlier in the week. The baby was clearly distresed and was taken to the general hospital in Torrevieja. Doctors have since reported that he is recovering well from his experience.
The identity of the boy is not known, and nor are the circumstances leading to him being abandoned. Officers from the Guardia Civil based in Pilar do la Horadada are now investigating the case. They will look at all CCTV tapes from around the bank to try and establish who the boys parents are.
If the boy's parents are not identified, it is likely he will be fostered and possibly put up for adoption.
