El Campello Blaze Costs 4 Million Euros

A fire in El Campello has caused approximately 4 million euros of damages to pleasure boats.
 There are many aspects of the blaze causing concern. Firstly, the casue of the fire remains a mystery. Guardia Civil are investing the blaze suspecting arson.
Secondly, there have been reports that the fire services took too long to respond. The blaze was first reported at 2:55pm, but some witnesses say that the fire service didn't arrive for more than 30 minutes.
All in all, a total of 55 pleasure boats were destroyed in the huge fire. Smoke from the fire was seen for many kilometres around. |
