New Local Wine Launched

A new wine has just been launched in Torrevieja.
 The new wine from La Mata will be called Humedal. Made from the mersegeur grape from the La Mata Natural Park, the wine is said to have a dry, fresh taste.
The wine was launched in Torrevieja by the mayor, Snr Pedro Hernandez Mateo in aceremony which brought together local officials and members of the La Mata farmers association. Also attending were wine tasting experts and representatives of the vine growing and oenology station in Requena.
It is the first time this type of grape has been commercialised and made into a viable wine product.
